My name is Tina A & I am in my mid-40's. I'm married & my husband & I have 5 children. Only 2 are still at home & they attend NSU. I'm also a grandmother of 3, one girl & 2 boys. I love children; especially babies. I seem to just have a niche for getting along with & caring for them. I always manage to win them over. I started babysitting at the age of 9 1/2. I have been babysitting ever since then. I have over 30 years of experIence. One of my children was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD with hyperactivity & Crohn's disease. So I have knowledge in those areas. I have also cared for a child that suffered with seizures & asthma. I started out baby-sitting my brother & my 1st cousins who were all way younger than me. I give them the same attention & etc. I was with my last family for 4 years. Once he was old enough to attend school, they didn't need me anymore. When I started working for them, the youngest (a boy) was 8 weeks old. I also cared for his sister, who was 7. Before that family, I worked for a couple who were both physicians. They had twins, boy and a girl. I was with them for a little over a year. The reason I stopped working for them is because I was offered a position making more money & the family lived 10 minutes away from me. (Whereas I'd been commuting back & forth for a 40 minute & 50 mile commute. I am not certified but I did receive a 10 minute crash course at a health fair. I must also say that out of all the children I have kept over the years, I've never had anything to happen that was life threatening.
