Hi, the names Sarah. I am a 35 yo who absolutely adores children and kids. I am unable to have any of my own due to an accident, so I tend to enjoy others children more often than most people would, because they have kids of their own to worry about. I have raised both of my nephews when they were growing up, I watched them as infants during my brothers and wife's work schedule (they are in their 20's now, my brothers 14 yrs older than me). I also watch my niece who is currently 13. I have cared for my roommate's autistic son when he comes for weeks at a time to visit his father (he is in his late teens, but still needs to be watched over). I love doing puzzles and fun brain games that children and teens enjoy. I love to laugh and I am very very attentive. Also, I understand sometimes a child is a more independent and solo type, and doesnt like attention, I do not mind sitting back and watching them. I am not someone who gets impatient, nor yells. I pick up after myself and the children. I love to cook and bake, I learned how to make many many homemade dishes as an early teen. I can make meals(afterschool snacks and homemade dinners) for the child and parent, follow an afterschool schedule (homework and if you have chores for them), prepare for bed and school the next day i.e. homework and schoolwork checked and book sack packed and ready, along with uniforms cleaned and hung up. I am a very conservative. If you have a mid to high functioning autistic child/teen, I am familiar with the way they behave. I love pets, if you have a pet, I consider it your family member, therefore it would be treated as well as the child I am watching. My job is to make your life easier. If you have to work later than the normal schedule, I am flexible. I have no children nor husband of my own, so I am not in demand elsewhere at any point in time. If your kid is into sports, I played college ball. I don't mind being outside or help them practice, outdoor activities are good for the soul. Or, it may be that if they don't want to be cooped up inside. I live in Hammond, the border of Tangipahoa and Livingston. I can do overnights, early to late days even consecutive days.
