I am a retired nurse of 43 years prior practicing . Though kynsiecoalrt in college while getting my BS in nursing was maternal pediatrics , most of my career has been nursing adults of all ages . I retired the last 3 years . I worked in ICU and the most critical nursing areas 17+ years , having to use my nursing knowledge, Life experience and common sense for critical thinking and planning which I’m very good at . I am a people person and i love to meet, learn about new people ( what makes them tick), cultures and learn and experience all new things in general . I was also a certified nurse case manager so I’m very detailed oriented and appreciate planning when possible . Lastly , I’m a very hard worker and like to do a thoroughly good and satisfying job . I also like to stay busy and be challenged . Since I don’t want the current stress of a nursing job and long shifts a part time nursing job would entail , such as standing Continuously 10- 12 + hours, I think being a caregiver , sitter or nanny is a good fit to use my people and health background to be benefit me and others without doing nursing . I am currently certified in CPR , and still retain my active LA compact RN license with my Nurse case manager certification in inactive status . I currently do volunteer work for the leukemia lymphoma society and also for love on a leash st tammany with my certified therapy dog and work as an election commissioner when the need arises . I have sat with an elderly friend as needed and worked ions ago as a baby sitter . I’ve done shift work at retail stores , merchandising and cleaning as needed .
