Hi there! My name is Lex. I'm currently a student working towards a BA in counseling psychology. Thankfully, growing up with a little brother 6 years my junior taught me how to babysit from a young age. I babysat neighborhood kids for much of my adolescence. In college I worked at an after school program in Cambridge for kids 5-8; more recently, I interned at a psychiatric hospital for teens 11-18. I have a deep love for making art (figure drawing and portraits specifically!), writing, a passion for world music, and a fledgling interest in birdwatching (get it?). A big chunk of my studies in college has focused on children & adolescents - their needs & and the importance of healthy relationships from a young age. Of course, I'm still learning! That being said, I believe I have a good foundational knowledge on childcare needs, psychologically and socially speaking. I Read more hope to be able to teach your children about being in the world, although past childcare experience has shown me that often the adult learns more from the child! And I do hope that your children can teach me. If you're looking for a genuine, reliable, and fun sitter for your children, I'm your girl.
