I babysat two preteen brothers when I was seventeen. I have not been a formal babysitter since then but I have helped watch my much younger sister and children become attached to me very quickly. I am just generally accustomed to children including sister, her friends, and I have mostly younger cousins. I do not have formal training in childhood education but no amount of education or training can give someone a sense of compassion and caring that is wanted to develop sincere bonds of affection and attachment to a child. It would be more than just making money because of my natural nurturing maternal instincts. I work well with very smart, more mature kids who are very curious about the world and not as hyperactive.
