I see my role as a nanny as a natural progression from my previous eight years as a preschool teacher. Although my B.S. (Honors) in Early Childhood Education has prepared me to teach a class of 20+ children, I've enjoyed the advantage of allowing more time for children that my current role as a nanny provides. My education and work experience has greatly assisted me in parenthood. I have two twenty two year olds (daughter and step-son) and a ten year old daughter. I believe that children need positive reinforcement in becoming their own problem solvers. Gentle guidance and redirection is needed when children are having a tough time making a good decision. Jen is a wonderful nanny to our son, now almost 3 years old. She's been with us for almost a year and we have absolutely no complaints. Our son loves her and is always all smiles and "bye bye mommy" in the morning when I leave. Jen not only entertains our son but she also is a natural teacher. We come home to collages and pictures of the alphabet, numbers, concepts that they have done together. I know my son is better prepared for preschool because of Jen. You are lucky to grab her now when she's available for full time care!

AMAZING - Jen is truly the most capable and wonderful babysitter we have had. She currently works with my 4 kids (4, 2, and 5-month-old twins)and is able to keep them entertained, happy and healthy whether or not I'm around. They love her and want her to move in with us! Her background as a teacher really shows, and she has a great sense of humor and warmth. You can tell she loves kids and truly enjoys working with them. She's a real gem - and great with parents too! We feel truly lucky to have her.
