Meet Madeline

Hi! My name is Maddie and I'm a 4th year environmental studies student at Northeastern University. I was a sitter for a few summers throughout high school for kids between 5 and 13 years old and most recently have been working as a teaching assistant at Perkins School for the Blind full time as a part of the Northeastern co-op program. I interact with many students each day with varying levels of independence and feed students, change diapers, prepare food, and help them with classes daily. In my past babysitting experience I've loved doing arts and crafts with the kids, taking them out to places around the city, and setting up activities geared toward their interests as I get to know them! I feel comfortable helping with bedtime/bath time routines, changing diapers, helping with homework, cooking, planning activities, caring for pets, etc. In my free time I love playing the Read more guitar, crocheting, thrift shopping, hanging out with friends, and being involved with school clubs (I'm in a climate justice organization and "Survivor Northeastern" that puts on a season of the TV show Survivor every semester). I'm also a coffee lover and have worked barista jobs throughout college. I'm hoping to become a teacher once I finish my degree.
