I am an experienced nanny, mother and grandmother who has been working with children since I was very young. I have also spent some years working at a day care before transitioning to working at homes. After years of working full time child care, I am looking for a more part time care position. I adore caring for children and am very comfortable with not just the care aspect, but in providing enrichment and learning activities.

 I have been working with children since the age of ten, be it through babysitting family and then branching out, through teaching dance classes, working at numerous summer camps and then becoming a certified infant, toddler, preschool lead teacher. I am certified through EEC. I also spent a summer volunteering at Camp Sunshine. This is a camp for families with a child who is terminally ill. This camp is a place where the families can go and be among others who are facing the same everyday issues. They go to camp and have the opportunity to enjoy their time without having to worry about anything else. I enjoy working with children of all ages especially 1 month - 15 years of age. Some of the activities I enjoy doing with the children under my care are arts & crafts, going for walks around the neighborhood, playing at the park, going on field trips to the farm, zoo or other such places and reading stories. I’m Emily and I live in Southborough/Marlborough line, I have been an Infant/Toddler teacher at Bright Horizons and Nanny, on and off for the last 20 years. I love children. After becoming a caregiver to my mom who had AML & transplant, I was inspired to go back to school to purse my nursing degree. I graduated with my BSN RN in 2019 ( my previous undergrad is in psychology) . Through my clinicals and preceptorship I have worked in a multitude of areas along with working as a labor & delivery nurse. Pediatrics & geriatrics are my favorite populations. I had to take a break from inpatient nursing to help care for family and started some private duty nursing along with child care. I just began taking on care again in addition to some private duty nursing I do. I am a BLS provider ( Basic Life Support, a step up from CPR for medical providers). I currently take care of a 19 month old & a 7 year old, the prior family I worked for was with a set of twin boys. I started with them when they were 8weeks old, until 16 months old. I had to resign in 2018, when nursing school became extremely intense, requiring my full attention. Prior to nursing, my previous experience I was an Infant & toddler teacher at Bright Horizons for 6years, taking care of infants ages 6 weeks -15 months old. Bright horizons was a great center for infants. I was in charge of classroom of 7 infants that included creating a weekly curriculum for our babies while in our care, parent meetings every 3 months to review their portfolios, milestones, and new activities and exercises to incorporate day to day if needed. I love working with children of all ages, especially infants.There is nothing like a baby to bring you back to everything that is so precious in life. My friends' who have had babies have all named me the official 'Baby whisperer' as I have a way with babies in particular. I am very close with my Family & fur babies.
