Hi! My name is Shivapriya, but I go by Shugi! I’m currently a senior at Westfield State University and have moved back to my hometown of Ashland, MA, where I’ll be completing my final semester from home. I absolutely love working with kids and have several years of experience in childcare and youth programs! I’ve worked as a tutor, summer camp staff member (2023 & 2024), and Site Coordinator for a school-age program near my university (2024–2026). As a Site Coordinator, I was responsible for supervising groups of up to 22 children, managing and supporting my staff, planning activities, and creating a fun, safe, and positive environment for every child. I am EEC and First Aid certified and have completed all of my required Redwoods trainings and certifications. I was born and raised in Massachusetts and am also fluent in both English and Tamil! Outside of school and childcare, I Read more love staying active and being outdoors, cooking, baking, and doing arts and crafts. I’m also currently working toward becoming certified as a fitness instructor, as health and fitness have become another passion of mine! I’m very adaptable and comfortable working with children of different ages, personalities, and interests. I’m also more than happy to help out with furry family members! My goal is to create an environment where your children feel safe, comfortable, engaged, and, most importantly, have fun. I’d love the opportunity to get to know you and your family!
