Hello my name is Ashley Monteiro, and I am a 25 year old female. I graduated high school in 2007 and continued my journey in education to obtain my Bachelors in Psychology, at Newbury College. I began my adventures of working with children when I was About 9 or 10, assisting my older sister, who was 16 in raising my nephew and working at Cambridge adventure day camp every summer for 9 years beginning at 14 years old. I changed many diapers, played, fed, and rocked him too sleep many nights. Moving forward I assisted in the in house daycare in my high school for young parents. Here I also changed, fed, and played with infents and toddlers. Being around children all my life working so closely with them assisted me In choosing my career path in psychology. I then received an oppurtunity working with 7th graders as a teachers assistant, at the Ottoson middle school. Currently I am a ALC paraprofessional at the Lincoln school in Brookline, ma. Working With children who are severely autistic.
