I am a junior at Boston College studying Elementary Education and Applied Psychology. I have been babysitting/ nannying for ten years and also have experience tutoring and teaching. Specifically, my experience working with youth includes two summer programs teaching math and English to students in Uganda and Thailand, three semesters of student teaching at Countryside Elementary School in a first grade class, Gardner Pilot Academy in a fourth grade class and St. Mary's of the Assumption in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classrooms, and several dance classes to students of varying abilities. In all of these situations, I worked with a team of staff and volunteers to create an engaging learning environment. My completed courses at Boston College include: Child Growth and Development Family, School, and Society Psychology of Learning Education methods courses for mathematics, language arts, reading, natural sciences, and social sciences.
