I'm Mercedes, a first-year college student studying Biotechnology and Psychology. In my free time, I like to read biographies and poetry, knit, crochet, and decorate my room. I have many years of experience in childcare, and as an older sibling, it's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Previously, I have worked in daycares and summer programs, and as a teaching assistant in preschool and kindergarten classrooms. Most recently, I was employed at an Early Learning Center in Amherst, where I was a teaching assistant in their preschool room. Most of my experience is with kids ages 18 months-6 years, but I also have experience with older school-aged children through babysitting and occasional tutoring.
