Ever since I was old enough to be trusted at home alone I've been babysitting. I started out taking care of the neighbors kids from the time they were infants to young school age. I then progressed to caring for family friends children while they were away at work or were in desperate need of a date night now and then. I realized how much I loved being around children, and how refreshing their curiousity and excitement is towards every new thing they encounter in the world. Being around children has always made me happy, and two years ago I was blessed with the reaponsibilty of becoming an aunt. My sister had her first child and as a single mother she has been in constant need of help raising her beautiful daughter. As a college student studying mechanical engineering and sociology, I have found that babysitting is a great way to find a job that has flexible hours around my class schedule and brings a much appreciated outlet from hectic life as a university student. I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing outdoors, helping kids with homework and making sure they have a role model to look up to. I'm very responsible and conscientious, I have a car and my license which has proven to be very helpful to parents, and have also structured my class schedule in a manner that makes me much more available as a sitter. I also used to be an animal science major, so pets of any kind only make my job more fun!
