As an only child in a small family, I had little opportunity to spend time watching and learning about caring for other children. Now, as more and more of my friends are having children (and asking me to watch them!), I am realizing there is no greater joy than helping a child navigate the world. My personal approach to childcare is from mindfulness, and I strive to provide an atmosphere of attention, acceptance, appreciation, and allowing. By cultivating friendship with children, we create a place of mutual respect in which your child can take the lead in the exploration of their interests. From my own interests and experiences, I am skilled at guiding children through the exploration of art, science, nature, gardening, and cooking.
