My work has ranged from working as a nanny for a 7 month old, leading a kids summer playwriting group, providing swim instruction to infants up to age 12, and providing residential and social support to young adults with learning differences and autism spectrum disorders. I truly enjoy empowering children, helping them find their strengths and encouraging creativity, self-sufficiency, and curiosity by engaging them and including them in everyday activities such as cooking, cleanup, putting away belongings, dance and music, making art and crafts, spending time outdoors. A little about myself, I am a 36 year old mother of 2 with extensive experience child care. I am the oldest out of 4 siblings and have CPR and First Aid certifications, althoughi do believe they are currently expired. I have attended Northern Virginia Community College in pursuit of a degree in Child Education and have a CDA, so I do have knowledge on learning skills, behavior and so on with young children.
