Hello I am Debby. I love working with children and families! I am a retired PreSchool Teacher: seeking either a part time nanny position or sitting arrangement (scheduled or drop in). * Certified in Massachusetts as an Infant/Toddler PreSchool Teacher. * Active and clean CORI (Background check through the Mass Depth of Early Childhood Ed) Having worked in Early Childhood Education since 1987, I have many years of experience with children of various backgrounds and abilities; including Children with Special Needs. I have worked in professional settings which were licensed and governed by Massachusetts Dept of Early Childhood Education, NAEYC -National Association for the Education of Young Children, and Head Start. My teaching/learning style with children is that I choose to develop bonds, relationship, and understanding with the child (children) in my care. I strongly feel this approach fosters a secure trust and healthy attachment between teacher/caregiver and child. My Read more training and experience have taught me that this approach also works to eliminate many behavior problems with the child. I enjoy sharing many enriching activities with children; age appropriate, developmentally appropriate, fun learning opportunities-some planned, some spontaneous. I am open to over night sitting but only after I have formed a bond with the child/children and parents. For over twenty-five (25) years I have been certified in First Aid and CPR. I am calm, composed and act quickly in emergency situations. In addition to having worked with children I am the mother of three (3) grown children. I have extensive experience in caring for children with temporary illness, as well as those with chronic conditions. I have a clean driving record. As well as a squeeky clean CORI. Having never been in any trouble, my CORI is a blank sheet. I am a non-smoker. I do not now, nor have I ever had any drug/alcohol addictions or dependencies. My present volunteer position involves me helping, one morning per week, in a Head Start PreSchool classroom. I look forward to meeting you and your family. :) Resume and references available on request. Thank you for your time! Sincerely, Debby
