Hi everyone, my name is Tessa. I absolutely love doing arts and crafts activities, reading, music, dancing, and yoga with the children in my care. I currently work as a paraprofessional in a school for children 6-8 with behavioral and emotional difficulties. I also work in the residential program with children from ages 5 to 13. I have a lot of opportunity to be creative with my job title and the school encourages thinking outside the box, which is amazing. I previously worked with adults with developmental disabilities in a residential program. I have a lot of experience with teaching and working on coping skills to those with autism/spectrum as well as children and adults with PTSD. I am currently in school for early childhood education with a focus on special education and love bringing what I learn from my courses into the classroom with the children.
