Meet Mari

There’s just something about the way a child’s mind is so vast, so sensitive and so creative. I find it inspiring. When I work with kids, my goal is to play through supporting their intuition, individuality and creativity. I do this mostly through art and movement (energizing or relaxing depending on the time of day 😉). I’m happy to engage with kids in cooking(real or pretend), Time in nature, playing with blocks or Legos, dress up or fantasy play and board games. I’m open to spending an evening watching a movie if it’s a special occasion but I rarely spend time with kids watching TV, movies or playing video games. Working with children on the autism spectrum for over eight years has given me a comfort in working with kids of many sensitivities. I like to collaborate with kids when things like frustration or anger come up. Especially when they Read more feel like they’re not being heard or are able to express themselves to the fullest. Depending on the child’s needs and nature of a setting or situation, I like to keep a balance of time together and time on their own. Working with kids is truly a joy to my heart and I hope to bring a little extra joy for them and you as well!
