Hi, my name is Caroline. I am originally from Cape Cod, MA, and I studied Human Science with a focus on food and nutrition at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. In college, I interned for the White House, working on the First Lady's Let's Move! healthy eating and physical activity campaign for children and families. After graduation, I did a Fulbright Fellowship in Taiwan where I taught English to 1st to 6th grade low income elementary school students. I also privately tutored a 7 year old Taiwanese student in English and math. My experience as a teacher has made me very creative when it comes to finding ways to keep kids engaged and entertained. I also speak some Mandarin and enjoy teaching kids basic Mandarin phrases. Currently, I work at a software company in Cambridge, called HubSpot, where I work on the employee culture team. I live in Jamaica Plain. Read more I have previous babysitting experience with children from ages 3 months to 12 years. I have cared for children with severe food allergies (milk, peanuts), tutored boys with autism (doing math problems, reading novels, etc.), and volunteered with an organization that organizes sporting events for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. I love to be active, play outside, and cook, and I believe children can learn a lot from being in the kitchen or exploring their surroundings.
