I've been babysitting for family and family friends since I was 16 and spent a year volunteering at a daycare center in NH my sophomore year of college. I really enjoy the experience of taking care of children, as I feel like it teaches responsibility, time management, and especially patience which are important skills for me as a pre-med college student. Children cheer me up and babysitting allows me to reminisce on times that I enjoyed as a child.
