Hi! I’m a Tulane University Biology grad who has been taking a gap year before starting medical school. During college, I worked as a medical assistant in cardiology, dermatology, neurology, genetics, podiatry, and orthopedics over summer and winter breaks. Right now, I’m working as a pediatric medical assistant, which has given me tons of hands-on experience with kids and families. Now that I’ve gotten into med school, I’m looking to add some babysitting or even pet-sitting work to save a bit more money and spend time doing something I really enjoy. I’ve always loved working with kids — I started at 13 as a junior camp counselor, where I spent over 360 hours helping with activities for kids ages 5–10. Later on, I became a full camp counselor, taking groups of kids on field trips around the Boston area. I also babysat for local families throughout high school, helping with Read more homework, rides, meals, and even their dogs. At Tulane, I stayed involved with kids through volunteer work — tutoring in STEMNola, leading sessions at Roots of Music, and helping at Ochsner’s pediatric and oncology units. I also worked at Lycée Français with Pre-K through 2nd graders during recess and after-school hours. I have my own car, a flexible schedule, and I’m super comfortable with animals — I’ve grown up with dogs of all sizes and have experience dog-sitting and cat-sitting for families.
