Hello! my name is Tessa and I am a 23 year old graduate student pursuing my master's degree in speech-language pathology at Ithaca College. I absolutely love children and hope to work with them after I graduate. I am an experienced caregiver, having worked for multiple families throughout the past 8 years. I have worked for a family with two little girls (now 4 and 7) for about 6 years, a family with a 1 and 3 year old, and another family with a 6 and 8 year old. For 2 summers I nannied full-time for a family with 6 and 8 year old boys, and for the last 2 summers I provided care for 10 year old twin boys. I am able to provide references if needed! Through my undergraduate and graduate programs, I have also worked with children in a preschool and elementary school setting. I love reading Read more and music, and thinking of creative and fun activities to do with kids (crafts, make believe games, forts, outdoor activities). I consider myself very patient, attentive, and responsible. I will be in Ithaca taking classes for the summer, and would be available for families who need help mostly on the weekends (e.g. date-night sitter) or occasionally during the week. I have a car and can provide my own transportation. I am comfortable with pets (love dogs!) and although I am not an experienced cook I am more than capable of doing some light cooking and housework.
