Hello,I have always loved being around children.I have over 30yrs of hands on and paid experience,worked with over 100 families. I have nannied in the past serveral families including NB triplets.I worked at 2child care centers in the past with 12yrs combined.i have also babysat and run a group of children ages 6mnths-14yrs old with several care givers for a military functionn held at a hotel conference room over a wkend. I am currently working at a center now FT that I love(14yrs) in Watertown. I have a teaching certificate in inf-preK,and I'm First Aid and CPR certified. Im always looking to help a family in need of a responsible, reliable, trustworthy,fun and lovable person to look after there own.I have 2boys myself(12/9yrs) and a step daughter who’s 15yrs old and so i see children from a mother's veiw,I also know how important communication and building a relationship with a family is.. Although I work FT i am only available wknights after 500pm and very flexable on wkends if you are as well😊.Due to all my experience /knowledge and certification I do ask for a fee of 35.-45hrly and 3hr min.i have lots of refrences of families with all ages if needed. I can and would love to meet your family before any scheduled date if you would like me to do so. I really enjoy kids! They are naturally authentic and interested in the world. I studied Math and Education in college, and got teaching experience in classrooms ranging from kindergarten to high school. I got certified to teach secondary math, and went on to do a year of Americorps service after college. I moved to Boston in 2007 and began babysitting until I figured out what was next. I enjoyed what I was doing so much that I went on to become a full time nanny the following year. I worked for three years for a family with three children- ages 2, 5, and 7 when I started. After the youngest was off to kindergarten, I took a new position, a nanny share caring for two 2-year old girls. I’ve also babysat for multiple families over the years ranging from overnights with infant twins to school vacation help for 12-year olds. I taught the preschool class at my church for 5 years as well. In October 2012, I had a daughter of my own! I began bringing her along to babysitting/ nanny positions, which worked out quite well. In 2019, after working as a nanny/ babysitter for 12 years, I transitioned to teaching. I worked as an assistant in a combined Pre-K/Kindergarten class for four years before becoming the lead teacher of a separate Pre-K class. I had another daughter in January 2024 and am currently exploring the possibility of a babysitting position where I can bring my 1-year old daughter along.

Hi! My name is Alynah, and I’m a 4th-year medical student. I recently moved to Boston to work at Harvard/BIDMC on a research fellowship prior to graduating with my MD. I am well-trained to handle various situations and am certified in BLS, CPR, and First Aid. As the oldest of four children and 26 grandchildren, I have spent much of my life watching, feeding, cleaning up after, playing with, and teaching kids of all ages. Since joining Sittercity, I have babysat 14 children between 10 months and 10 years and had a blast every time! During undergrad, I spent two years working with individuals with disabilities on college-level coursework, job applications, and social activities. I genuinely enjoy spending time with young people from all backgrounds. Being away from home makes me miss connecting with children, so hanging out with your kiddos in my free time would help Boston feel more like home.
