My name is Rebecca Dooley, 29 years old and 2014 graduate from Manhattanville College with a degree in Theatre education, concentration in acting, and music performance minor. Even as a kid myself, with my mother being an occupational therapist at a local public school, I would always ask to go with her to school in the summers to help her take care of her students (age range 4-10) and create activities for them. I always had a passion for working with kids, whether it be playing with them at holidays or events, or doing anything to get them to laugh or smile, I was always that girl growing up hanging out playing dolls or legos with the younger cousins. Coming from a big family,and having this strong desire growing up to be a caretaker around kids, becoming a babysitter for families and friends of mine eventually became one of the Read more main reasons I am now so invested in pursuing a career in the arts with acting and theatre performance. Everyday since high school I have been learning all about collaborative work, especially with children, being involved with community theatre ensembles, summer camps, and choruses of all different ages as well. Studying Theatre education has given me the incredible opportunity to really involve myself more with children of all ages and watch them learn and grow. I love working with kids of all ages and in my time spent babysitting since age13, I have not had a bad experience yet! I am a very responsible, hard working, reliable, friendly, funny, and caring babysitter and would love to get to know you and your family!
