Hello, I’m Emma!! I am a 25 year old, second year graduate student in the Tufts University School Psychology program. I am looking for a regular babysitting/nannying summer job in the Medford area! I have vast experience working with kids of all ages, but my preference is early childhood/elementary. I love helping children grow into their best selves by fostering imaginative play, providing specialized educational instruction, and promoting positive social/emotional development (would further plan details of what this would look like for your family!). I consider myself to be a genuinely enthusiastic and easygoing person. I am very comfortable driving, running errands, cooking, doing light chores, etc. I also love animals, so pets are great with me! Experience: I currently babysit an adorable 2 year with autism once a week and tutor middle and high schoolers in math and ELA after graduate classes/Tufts practicum. I spend 3 days per week Read more interning under a licensed school psychologist in a Cambridge middle school (Tufts practicum). This involves psychological testing/report writing, counseling (e.g. CBT, executive skills training), parent/teacher consulting, etc. This will all end mid-June (when I will be able to start work with your family)! My classes have prepared me to work with children who have learning/developmental disabilities (e.g. language impairment, dyslexia, ADHD) and social/emotional difficulties (e.g. ODD, depression, anxiety). I am also comfortable serving families of diverse backgrounds by employing culturally responsive practices and trauma-informed care. My most recent paid, professional experience was working as a special education paraprofessional in Martin Elementary School in North Attleboro from January-June 2023 (ages 5-8). Here, I was Safety Care certified. I did ABA work during after school hours with nonverbal autistic children (ages 4-8). I continued ABA full time 2 summers ago until I moved to Medford. Whilst I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education Studies at Wesleyan University, I worked as a nanny for twins (a boy and girl aged 5/6) during summers 2020 and 2021. I babysat other elementary-aged children intermittently. I worked as a paraprofessional for BICO summer school simultaneously in summer 2021 (middle school-aged). I was a Resident Counselor at Tufts Summer Discovery for high school students in summer 2022.
