I first started babysitting for family friends in middle school and high school and as I progressed through high school I decided to work at the after-school program that I went to when I was in elementary. I then went to college and studied Psychology and Mathematics while being introduced to more specified areas in each subject such as ASD. During my sophomore year, I was recommended to and hired at Crotched Mountain School and Rehabilitation Center (AKA: Legacy by Gersh) where I got CPR certified, received Safety Training, and worked 1:1 as a Paraeducator II with those on the spectrum ages 5-22. During my time there I worked with a group that was 5-12 years old and then relocated to the BEL Center as it was much closer for me. I became certified in ABA at this new place and was trained in ACE and training on PECS, IT, Read more FUT, FCT, DTT, and much more. There I worked with those aged 2-5 years old and got experience with ABA-approved prompting procedures, data collection, and most of what early intervention focuses on. I am hoping to work with a family that might benefit from my educational and specified work experience but I am willing to work with all children.
