For the last 2 years I have worked with 2 neighboring families needing after school care. Both positions entail care for middle school aged children ages 10 and 12, and ages 11, 13 and 16. I transport the children to after school activities (including doctor and dental appointments), prepare dinner, run laundry, walk dogs and perform general house pick up. I very much enjoy both of these positions but they are school-year only and I need work for this summer. I love children and now that my two girls are grown and independent, this type of position enables me to maintain relationships with children of all ages and enjoy assisting in their growth and development.
