As the oldest girl in a large family (5 brothers, 3 sisters), as well as raising my own son, it's fortunate that I've always loved taking care of & playing with kids. I've worked with kids in many other settings apart from baby-sitting in their homes: schools, daycare centers, mental health settings, Girl Scout and After School programs, library Story Lady, etc. . . and I continue to love being with kids. I've worked with newborns through middle-schoolers, with kids who are quiet and kids who are feisty, and I enjoy a wide range of activities: dress-up & table-top games, playground activities, arts & crafts, cooking & science experiments, finding & reading fun story-books, building stuff with Lego, Magna-tiles, etc. - you name it! I've had education in Child Psychology and am First Aid, CPR (infant, child & adult) and AED certified and have my own car. I prefer either Read more morning or afternoon/evening hours, but can often be flexible about other hours. I'm comfortable supervising kids in swimming pools, on playgrounds, in the kitchen.
