Hello families, parents and guardians - my name is Liz, I am 33 years old and I have been working with children for nearly 20 years! During the school year, I work as a Behavior Therapist for high-needs students in the Newton Public Schools (at the elementary level, for students living with a wide range of Social/Emotional/Learning disorders, including but not limited to PTSD, ADHD, NVLD, ODD, GAD and ASD); when I am not working in public school, I am a nanny, babysitter, tutor-extraordinaire. I grew up in Newton as well, and have worked with dozens of families in the surrounding communities of Brookline, Watertown, Needham and Waltham. I have over 15 years of in-home experience with age-appropriate imaginative and sensory play, relationship building, social-emotional skill building as well as executive functioning tutoring, independent skill building, academic-focused support for elementary and middle-school aged children. Beyond childcare, I have over 15 Read more years of experience taking care of pets (dogs, cats, birds and fish!) plus general home management/care (house-sitting, tending to gardens, household chores, meal-prep, and more). Since public school doesn't exactly pay wonderfully well - I am always looking for jobs to get me through the summer months, as well side gigs during the school year. I am a grown-up in terms of age and skill, but a child at heart who is always looking to make new 'friends' and build new connections!
