Hi, my name is Mambs! I'm a rising senior at Smith College, where I'm really excited about my coursework in Education & the Arts-- I love finding ways to make new mediums discoverable for different groups of people and engaging with that creative spark in kids. I'm passionate about maintaining a safe and joyful environment where children can grow and connect with their surroundings. I am an enthusiastic, imaginative, and kind teacher (in training :) ). I believe that childcare fosters & centers around the child's growth, and yet caregivers are in a position to learn continuously from the kids they interact with: both on better ways to provide that care individually, as well as fun interactions and discoveries together. What I like about babysitting as opposed to a classroom setting is the one-on-one interaction, when I can think specifically about how best to work with this child (or small Read more group of children). I have teaching experience in the Montessori style, as well as Quaker/Equality- & integrity-centered education, teaching for multilingual learners, and education in socially engaged art. While my coursework is in preparation to be an elementary art teacher, I also love engaging with kids in nature and also learning about science with them! Babysitting can have a specific artistic element or be less centered, I am open to anything. CPR & First Aid certified— not sure how to report that to the app haha!
