Hello! My name is Annie and one of my passions in life is being an educator, especially in an early educational setting with a focus on all things related to nature and our beautiful planet. Being an educator is important to me and fulfills my existence because I just love life so much, I love people, I love animals, I love this earth and the best way I know to show my gratitude is by nurturing and educating humans at the start of their beautiful journey in this life. I feel that part of what makes me a great child care provider and educator is that I have a ton of love to give, I have extreme patience, an open mind, and I love to have fun (I’ll always be a kid at heart). I have lots of experience with children and in many different aspects; I have been a Read more full time nanny, ran an elementary age home school group for farm children, worked for years as a full time substitute teacher in a middle/high school for performing arts students, I have a college degree in early education, I worked for 5 years as a care provider at a daycare working with children from infants to pre-K as a lead teacher, and I have spent the past 2 years as a stay at home mom!! I graduated with high honors from Holyoke Community College where I obtained my associates degree in early education and am a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. I am EEC certified as a lead teacher in both infants/toddler as well as preschool/pre-k and I am CPR and first aid certified. Part of my skill set includes working in others homes, not only working with children of all ages but animals as well, and doing house cleaning and gardening/farm work too! I worked for a number of years on a small family owned farm where I spent my days doing hard manual farm labor, spending time with the children educating, playing, and going on fun outings, and doing any and all housework the family needed. I've also worked for a number of years as a full-time professional dog walker in Boston where I not only cared for 25 dogs but did a ton of housesitting and dog sitting as well! I am currently looking to fill my evenings with some work outside the home and want nothing more than to get back into childcare. I don't plan to go back into teaching full time until my daughter is of school age so I figured this avenue would be a great start!
