I have worked as a Nanny/Babysitter for the past 17 years. Previous employment was taking care of 3 children from newborn to age 4. I was with them for 11 years. I currently am with a child who is 7 yrs. old. I have been with him since he was 6 months old and now he is in first grade. My hours have now diminished to less than 10 hours a week, and I would like to find occasional work to add to that. I also firmly believe that parents need time away from their children, that it is good for their relationship, and I would like to encourage that by offering responsible childcare for that purpose.
