Hello families, my name is Lela and I am a graduate of DePaul University. I studied African and Black Diaspora Studies and Arabic Language. I work as an usher at The Anthem DC and have over 7 years of childcare experience. During the 2021-22 school year I worked at Legends Charter School as a Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant. Although I love being an educator, the classroom wasn’t the right setting for me and as I make this shift I’m hoping to find a family who I can support. As I transition out of the classroom I'm looking to help families in their more intimate moments.
