Hello, my name is Zakiya. I am a Maryland native, seeking my next sitter/nanny opportunity with a wonderful family. With being a child of 7 and growing up an adolescent aunt, caregiving was destined to be apart of my career. In my youth, my mother got severely ill. Given the role of her aid, the ability to nurture became first nature to me. From the ages of 12-17, I taught, nourished, and cared for my mother. After graduation, I decided to take caretaking earnestly, while still working retail. I received my certification in CPR and First Aid and was granted the opportunity to work with amazing families, with children aging from 6m-10yrs, as well as house pets(dogs and cats). Unfortunately, the start of the pandemic placed a hold on my goals. In my free time, while I search for a steady sitter/nanny position, I continue to look after children locally. Read more I am presently pursuing my BSN to work in the Pediatric field. My love for caregiving will never cease and I cannot wait to begin my own family.
