Hi! My name is Rachael. I'm 26 years old and I've been babysitting since I was 12 years old. My first few babysitting jobs were for neighbors and people I went to church with. In High school I did a lot of childcare at various different churches and that usually involved me watching a group of about 15 children, usually with one other person. Occasionally I would be by myself in those big groups of children. I did a lot of word-of-mouth babysitting, so I'm not super used to using websites. I have a really good relationship with all of the families I used to babysit for, in case you need any references. Towards the middle of college, when I was 21, I left the country to go au pair in Australia for a French family. I was a live-in nanny and I helped the children with their English (because Read more they only spoke French at that point in time). I also helped them get ready for school in the morning, made their lunches, cleaned up around the house, and practiced French with them as well. I did that for about four years off and on (I kept coming home because my siblings wouldn't stop getting married!) I'm now in the market for a babysitting/nannying job, once again. I'm not too particular about how many kids, hours, or even location. As I have been doing childcare for a while and am now going to use this money to pay bills, my rate will be on the higher end ($20-$25 an hour). Just wanted that out in the open so we're all on the same page before you message me. I love children and get pretty easily attached and love when the family I'm babysitting for feels likes my own. I know parents get so busy and help is needed, so I hope I can be that help for you! I also was home schooled from pre-k through 12th. I feel like that may come in handy, since a lot of people are doing distance learning and are new to that. Anyway, hopefully my expansive babysitting repertoire can be helpful in your household!
