Meet Jeavyn

• Comfortable with pets

My name is Jeavyn and I come from a big family. Because of this, I’ve often had to share the responsibility of taking care of my siblings with my older ones since i was about 11. This includes infants, toddlers, and pre-teens. As their “babysitter,” I’ve helped them with getting ready for bed, getting ready for school, preparing snacks, and helping with homework. Helping my siblings allowed me to gain a sense of patience. I know each child requires different care and learned to adjust my wants so that I could help to take care of their needs. I began to love babysitting them knowing that I could help out my mom who wasn’t able to spare all of her time while also spending time with my siblings. It became a mixture of doing what was needed but still being able to enjoy ourselves at other times. What makes me Read more a good caregiver is the way I want to help and that’s in any way I can. I want to do what’s required if it means easing a parent/guardians workload/any stress. Also, as someone who prefers organization but is okay with some chaos or helping fix it, I make sure things are complete so the parent/guardian doesn’t have to struggle. I also make sure I communicate with both the parent(s) and children so that I can try to meet everyone’s needs the best way possible. With the experience I have with my siblings, I’ve learned a lot and would love to help and learn more.
