Hi! I'm Denise. I have lived in Bowie for 26 years. I have one daughter who is currently in law school. I am the oldest (by far) of 5 children, 3 boys, 2 girls. The one closest to my age is 11 years younger than me, so growing up, I was the built in babysitter starting at age 11 until I moved to St. Louis in 1980. I taught Sunday school at St. Matthews here in Bowie, for 3 years, I attended every field trip my daughter went on when she was growing up, helped out when she was a Brownie (2 weekend camps assigned to 5 girls!). I love kids. I find that we can learn from them as much as they can learn from us. I know CPR and have actually used the Heimlich maneuver 1 time on my child when she got hard candy stuck in her Read more throat when she was 5 years old.
