A little about me… I have worked with children since I was 15 years old. I started out assisting in a day care center, and then when I graduated from High School, I began teaching preschool while attending college. I have worked with infants up to school age children. I taught 1st grade for 6 years, and have also taught 4th grade. I have four children- ages 10,8,4, & 3! I am very familiar with the Calvert, Anne Arundel and Prince George's areas. I grew up in Dunkirk, MD, which is in Calvert County. While attending the University of Maryland, I lived in Annapolis, MD and and relocated back to Calvert County after graduating. I like to do pretty much anything that involves the outdoors. We are involved in many different community events. They enjoy the library and the programs offered there. We're lucky to have a few local community center Read more who plan amazing activities for the kids. Overall though, just having fun and making memories :) One of my newest hobbies is gardening. I love getting together and spending time with my family and friends. I completed my Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland. My degree also gives me the opportunity to become a Reading Specialist, which I plan to pursue in the near future. I'm currently looking for a family to work with on occasion or reoccurring weekday (few days a week/flexible on days), weekends, and/or date nights. Ashlee did a great job with Jayden. She's a teacher by training so she was able to help him with homework and be engaging. Any family would be lucky to have her look after their little ones.

Ashlee was wonderful. On time arrival, engaged my daughter immediately, and even straightened up the toys before she left. My almost-two year old daughter does not have a lot of experience with sitters, yet didn't cry once. Could not have asked for more, hope to use her again. Very highly recommended.

Ashlee is every thing we could want and more. She has a way of making everyone feel special. There is nothing feigned or exaggerated in her love for children. Her background as an educator is an outstanding benefit for our children. She is very flexible and her word is her word. We know that if she says she will come that we can make plans and not worry. We are so happy that she is a part of our boys life's and ours also. We hope that we will be with us for a long time.
