My name is Rose-Marie. Most call me Rosie. I am a full-time college student, a part-time baker, and a 24/7 child and animal lover. I have been babysitting/tutoring within my family and community since I was 14 years old. Big sister to five younger siblings and Zia to my older sister's 3-year-old, I am no stranger to childcare. I have held three long-term nanny positions with different families over the last five years, but I also frequently take on short-term positions, such as date night, vacation, or weekend babysitting. When I babysit I aim to appeal to all five of my kiddies' senses. We cook together, color, read, write, problem-solve, play, and more. I even taught my baby sister over 20 signs by the time she hit a year so she could communicate with us while learning to speak. Most people who know me would describe me as attentive, creative, Read more thoughtful, and caring. I study Montessori teaching styles and put them into practice within my own household, redirecting negative behaviors rather than punishing them. While I am firm, I am also extremely fair, always making sure to build mutual respect with each child in my care from the moment we meet.
