Hello my name is Kinaya and I am from Los Angeles, CA. I am currently a student at Howard University in Washington DC, pursuing a BS in Business Management. In addition to being a college student I am a manager and instructor at the MoBu Kids play facility in Falls Church, VA. I've been working there for over four years and my work there has given me a wide range of experience with different children. I teach dance (ballet and hip hop) classes for children between 2-6 and music classes for children from 6mos-5 years. In my dance classes I am in charge of up to eight children at once. I'm also a counselor at many of our summer, winter, and spring break camps; in addition to being party leader and trainer for the birthday parties and special events that we host at our facility. Along with one or two Read more other counselors, I have been in responsible for effectively managing and facilitating a wide range of activities for up to 20 children at a time. I have conducted art projects, science experiments, as well as story, music and play time at our camps and special events. I currently sit for two wonderful young girls (ages 3 and 6) and have cared for them after school for almost two years. Prior to college I was a troop member of the Girl Scouts of America until I graduated from high school. My final two years participating with my troop I was responsible for supervising our youngest members, as well as organizing and executing all of their activities. I was also a math and English tutor for elementary and middle school children at a local library branch for two years in high school and was a mentor and tutor for a mentor-ship organization called Young Black Scholars, whom I still participate with in the summers when I visit home. My various jobs and experience have taught me patience above all else. At the end of the day I adore children and I love to help them learn and grow and become confident active, and independent people.

Kinaya is great, handled 8 hours with 3 kids, prepared dinner, got them to bed nice and early and tidied more than we'd expect a babysitter to do. She took them outside without hesitation despite the arctic cold because I asked her to. The kids loved having her. She has a calm and trustworthy personality. Anytime again

Kinaya did a great job making my very stranger adverse 3 year old comfortable and did a great job entertaining my 5 year old. They took to her very quickly. She kept in touch when my 3 year old was having difficulty falling asleep. I would definitely recommend her!

Kinaya is great. She followed instructions well and showed good judgment (e.g. asking when my daughter should receive a bottle and take a nap, giving my daughter (6 m.) a bottle and my son (3.5 y) juice and a snack). When I came home, I could hear my son laughing. My daughter was calm and happy, too.
