Hello, my name is Cymone. I am currently a full time student at Harford community college. I’m one semester away from enrolling in the nursing program. I completed a few child development courses as well. I am also a mother to a 6 year old boy. I am completely aware of how hard it is to find quality care for children now a days. Whether the childcare is in an in home daycare or an actual facility. I have experience with children mainly from high school and college volunteer hours where I received hands on experience to really get a feel for teaching. I also received my 90 hour clock certificate from the state of MD. I worked for the ymca in belcamp and was very disappointed with the lack of motivation from teachers. I would notice education taking a back seat to “free play”. With that being said I Read more have decided to care for my son by myself until I find a facility I’m comfortable with. I’m looking to nanny/ babysit throughout the summer to keep busy and continue with experience. It’s not about the money. I’m still hesitant to try to another facility so I figured this was another route. I hope that my son tagging along won’t be an issue. I enjoy spending time with children in my care at local libraries, the zoo, planetarium, museums, and parks. I am also very health conscious. I try to avoid junk/ processed foods.
