It is my belief that we come into this world with specific talents and gifts, meant not just for the betterment of ourselves, but for others we come in contact with throughout life. My family migrated from West Africa to Little Rock, Arkansas in search of the American dream. Later my family relocated to the metropolitan area, where they gave birth to and raised me. Recently, I received a master's in biology from Shippensburg's University and am currently a second year pharmacy student. My passion and upbringing are both largely responsible for my affiliation with various volunteer organizations and career path. Over the years I have volunteered at numerous homeless shelters, schools, and clinics. Currently, I am affiliated with the Greater Washington Urban league, which participates in activities which focus on empowering local, underprivileged youth. Also, in the past I have been a member of the American Red Cross, Health Read more Leads, and Habitat for Humanity, working to provide housing, health insurance, and other forms of assistance to those in greatest need, within the Baltimore area. I began babysitting during my teenage years, for neighbors, never receiving a complaint. Until this day I remain in touch with past clients, who continue to recommend me to friends. I have babysat children of all ages and enjoy finding fun ways to teach create wonderful childhood memories with them. I understand the importance of childhood and will do all my best to ensure that those who will lead in the future are not only safe from harm, but will personally see to it that I show them to be successful, giving, and loving members of society. Children are an investment and should not be placed in just anyone's hands. I can ensure you that your children will be in safe hands and will be treated with much respect and love. Many of the experiences during my upbringing shaped me into the woman I am today. I strive to give back to the youth, in the ways in which many others invested in me. As an adult, I now realize that one person saving the world or righting every wrong is highly unlikely, however, I will do everything in my power to not only leave my mark on this world, but to also positively impact as many lives as I possibly can.
