I have always had a strong passion for children. I have held many jobs, but nothing comes close to working with children. I have been babysitting/nannying for many years. I took care of my nieces and nephew when they were infants and occasionally now. During my undergraduate years of college, I was on this site and worked with a few different families. I am also a tutor and have been working within DCPS tutoring children in reading. I am currently a behavioral therapist at Optimal Beginnings and Ivymount Outreach Programs (as well as a babysitter). I implement behavior plans using applied behavior analysis and teaching skills using verbal behavior method. I work under the supervision of doctoral level BCBAs. I travel to homes and schools to implement these behavior programs. I work with clients with a variety of diagnoses including ,but not limited to: ADHD, ASD, developmental and behavioral disorders, Read more and down syndrome. I work with children between the ages of 2.5 years of age and 10. I also have experience working with older children and teenagers. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I love working with children of all ages, including helping them with their homework.
