Hi, My name is Shayna and I graduated from Penn State University in May 2008 with a degree in Elementary & Kindergarten Education. I have since changed gears toward hospitality and event planning, but I love spending time with kids and hope to supplement my income with some child care in the hopes of kicking our student loans in the tush- oh, and making your life easier! I am originally Souderton, Pennsylvania (about an hour north of Philadelphia) and my husband, Kyle, and I have recently moved to Maryland for a new job opportunity. Kyle is the Head Professional at a nearby golf club and I have taken on an Administrative Club Coordinator position there as well! Now that we're settled and getting into a groove, I'm looking to add some babysitting on the side to generate some extra income- and help make your life easier! Please note that I Read more have limited availability around my FT job (off on Tuesdays & Sundays) and that my availability will change again in November in preparation for our first little one (due in December!). If you can use a babysitter who is enthusiastic about working with kids, organized and loves spending time outdoors, please don't hesitate to reach out. I will primarily be available nights and some weekend days. I have lots of experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings (Boys & Girls Club counselor, camp counselor, babysitter, nanny, church nursery caregiver, student teacher, substitute teacher, etc.) and I try to provide a fun learning environment for the children who I have the opportunity to watch. I am responsible, creative, and friendly! I love to cook, read, play, write, and try to get the most out of each day. I'm a non-smoker, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have connected with many wonderful families through babysitting, and look forward to meeting more, including yours! Consistently across families, I've seen parents who work hard and don't have enough time to relax or go out and play or just don't feel as though they have enough hands or time to do all that they need to do. Since they can't clone themselves, and everyone deserves a chance to take a little break once in awhile, I'm happy to help by being a reliable sitter who can be on call for those times, whether you're looking for child care or assistance with errands, projects, parties or organizing around the house.
