I have many years of childcare experience. I am interactive with the children. I take them out on Community activities such as parks going out for dinner or lunch play areas ET see. I have experience caring for infants of threw upper elementary age children. I also have experience with children who are disabled. I have dealt with colicky infants in the past and I am experienced with calming infants down when there upset. A lot of times they fall asleep in my arms. I do not drive a car because I am blind. I do have adaptive ways of caring for children such as putting bells on their shoes when they are toddlers. I stay in close proximity to infants and toddlers and preschoolers as needed for effective care. If I do need visual assistance of any kind, I use an app on my phone called Aira it will Read more bring a sighted assistant on the phone and I can show them what I need to see. They describe what they see and read the print that I need them to read. I can demonstrate a lot of the adaptive equipment I use to ensure the children safety and comfort while The children are in my care before I watch them to make sure you are comfortable. I have a bachelors degree in psychology, I also have been trained in first aid and CPR. I need to be recertified for those trainings. I also have references upon request.
