Hi! My name is Carly Stevens. I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy spending time with kids and helping them feel safe, supported, and happy. Watching children learn, grow, and gain confidence is incredibly rewarding to me. I have experience working with children from ages 1–15 (The Right Start Childcare and The Goddard School), providing attentive care, helping with daily routines, playtime, meals, and transitions throughout the day. I also have extensive experience working with children and adolescents through coaching soccer, where I’ve learned how to manage groups, encourage positive behavior, and build strong, supportive relationships. I bring strong skills in communication, patience, organization, and behavior support. I’m calm under pressure, attentive to children’s needs, and always prioritize safety. I have earned Maryland childcare training certificates (45-hour Preschool and 45-hour School-Age) and have hands-on experience working with children of different ages and personalities. Furthermore, I have a bachelor's Read more degree in psychology and studio art from Goucher college, where I also played on the women's soccer team. I am currently pursuing my masters of education at Goucher. Along with caring for children, I love playing games, practicing/teaching sports, and doing arts and crafts.
