Over the past 4 years, I've gained valuable babysitting and nannying experience. It all started with watching my niece when she was just 5 months old. Through word of mouth, I expanded my babysitting network and cared for children of various ages, including a family with eight kids aged four to seventeen. During my babysitting jobs, I made sure to keep the house clean, prepared meals and snacks, helped with homework, and even tackled some household chores. Safety and creating a nurturing environment were always my top priorities. In addition to my nanny experience, I have been working as a Physician Practice Intern at Mercy Hospital while pursuing my nursing degree. This role has given me hands-on experience in a medical setting, where I assist with patient care, manage medical records, and support the healthcare team with various tasks. Working at Mercy Hospital has solidified my desire to pursue a Read more career in either pediatrics or neonatal care. It has also allowed me to develop essential skills such as patient communication, time management, and teamwork. When I'm not busy with school and work, I love hanging out with my family. I'm also a proud business owner, so I use my free time to market myself and grow my business. Lately, I've been into research on becoming a doula because it's a field that interests me. As someone who wants to pursue neonatal nursing in the future, being a babysitter provides me with valuable experience and skills that will benefit me in my career. Babysitting/nannying allows me to develop my abilities to care for and connect with children, which are essential qualities in neonatal nursing. It also allows me to learn about child development and gain hands-on experience in providing nurturing care. Overall, being a nanny/babysitter aligns with my passion for helping and caring for others, which is why I find it so fulfilling. I am available Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as weekends.
