I worked with a state agency as a respite provider working with children from newborns up to age 21 for 15 years and I mainly worked with medically fragile children as well as children with autism. I loved the work and was sad when I had to leave because I began working for the same agency and the interaction with the kids had changed. Once I stopped working for the agency, I decided I missed it so much that I want to start again working with children. I have two stepdaughters and I take care of them when they come for their visits and it makes me so happy when I see their smiling faces.
