Hi! My name is Ching-Ting (Apple) Wei. I am originally from Taiwan, and prior to my coming to the US, lived for eight years in Shanghai, where I obtained my bachelor degree in social work. I spent time playing with, caring for and tutoring children with special needs during college internships. I also have two years of part-time and full-time experience tutoring children between the ages of 4 and 9. Having attended middle and high school at an Read more international school, I developed English language skills early in life. Some Chinese parents want their kids to learn English as young as possible, and sought me out as a resource. More often than not, I started such positions as a tutor but transitioned into a general caregiver in addition to tutor after earning trust from my clients and their child. I had done nanny share for families in which have children between 1-3 years old as well as taking care of infants above 3 month old full time after I moved to the US I am a playful and curious person who enjoys finding and creating different activities to let kids release their energy and learn about the world they live in. I am very responsible, will make sure children keep up with all their school work if needed and will always put kids’ safety first. I completed the acting program at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Georgetown, D.C., which I believe will help me to better interact with my clients’ children and serve me well at times when I might need to hold a child’s attention.
