Hi! My name is Maria. I am an Environmental Scientist with extensive babysitting experience I am very fortunate to say that working with kids has been a joy in my career as well. As an education program assistant at the Smithsonian, I developed educational materials/games about migratory bird conservation for schools in Washington DC and its partner classes in Latin America; and conducted presentations, among other things. Also, during my last position at World Wildlife Fund, I had the opportunity to teach kids in rural communities on the Bolivian Amazon about conservation. Being part of a kid s education, discoveries and life experiences is something that I believe is priceless. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I enjoy doing outdoor activities, arts and crafts, park/museum visits, boardgames, you name it! I also love animals! especially horses and dogs. I did horseback riding growing up and competed nationally and internationally, Read more so it was a big part of my life. I have a German Shepherd called Lucas.
